Alden Place parents and guardians can learn about social-emotional learning programs and happenings for students in grades 3-5 during a Family University session scheduled for Jan. 17, 2023.

Taking place in the Alden Place library, 41 Alden Place, and virtually via Zoom from 6-7 p.m., parents will hear from staff members about how SEL supports are being used to help students.

Principal Thomas Libka said Alden Place’s use of the Mood Meter will be a focal point of the presentation.

“Sharing our SEL focus with families will build a common language connection between home and school and an understanding of the needed student support,” he said.

Family University sessions rotate among the schools. The next sessions are scheduled for March 14 and May 9.
